Responsibilities

• Design visually pleasing social media content such as infographics, image posts, thumbnails for videos and articles, and other content based on our house style.
• Occasionally assist the marketing and strategy team in designing merch, signage, and other miscellaneous graphic design work.
• Come up with and use templates for social media postings.
• May need to work flexible hours depending on volume of work.

Requirements

• Adept at using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and AI image enhancement tools.
• Basic graphic design knowledge. Should at least be familiar with the concept of contrast, hierarchies, etc.
• Can communicate and discuss design and deadlines with various departments.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Have you ever read something really informative online and thought, man, if only someone would write this in BM so I can share it with my friends? Be that someone! As a BM writer for Cilisos, you’ll be making information more accessible to a large section of Malaysians.

Responsibilities

• Work with the editorial team to research and write engaging articles, video scripts and infographic copies for a wide range of subjects.
• Translate and rewrite English content from the English writers into Malay.
• Research and fact check copies to ensure quality of information being put out.
• Come up with unique, interesting angles for stories addressing current events.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for editorial and sponsored content.

Requirements

• Strong grasp of both BM and English – can write in casual BM and at the same time have good English comprehension.
• Great attention to detail when it comes to research and writing (punctuation, spelling, etc).
• Can understand complex topics and explain them so that even primary school kids can understand them.
• Able to think critically and fairly, and have a good sense of logic. Being able to separate fact from opinion is essential!
• Bonus points if you can make the editor laugh.

Do you enjoy watching videos online, and have ideas on how to make them even better? Then we want you! As a video editor for Cilisos, you’ll be bringing your video ideas out of your head into the real world, with the support of our experienced editors.   

Responsibilities

• Edit raw videos for social media platforms like TikTok, Youtube, Instagram and Facebook.
• Work closely with the Editorial team on content ideation and execution.
• Stay updated on what’s trending on social media.
• Can host and appear in videos.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mass Communication, Media/Film, Multimedia or any related field.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and Capcut.
• Familiar with production, and have basic knowledge of handling cameras (DSLR, Mirrorless, etc.), lighting and audio.
• Strong grasp of both English and BM (written and spoken)
• Has own transport.
