TENA champions active ageing with the launch of the latest Malaysia Ageing Report 2023

TENA, the global leader in incontinence care, just launched its latest Malaysia Ageing Report on the 22nd of June, 2023, a report which seeks to educate and champion active lifestyles in individuals of old age. Available in 3 languages: English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia, the report will be available to the public through TENA’s official site and selected pharmacies.

The launch event took place on the very same day at Vinda’s SEA Klang Headquarters, and was made possible through the collaboration and support of two notable governmental bodies.

 

TENA received support from JKMM and KPWKM

With the support of Malaysia’s Department of Social Welfare (JKMM) and Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM), the event kicked off with welcome speeches from Su Ting Nee, President of Vinda Group SEA and En. Arfan bin Sulaiman, Director of Planning & Development, JKMM.

Followed by an insightful panel discussion, the star of the event was a muhibbah line dancing number which was performed by an exclusive seniors-only dancing troupe, exhibiting a graceful mix of 3 different cultures. After TENA’s very own brand film was introduced, the report was finally presented.

The report includes insights on geriatric health, information on the challenges an ageing population poses for communities as well as practices that can be adopted by elders to have an active lifestyles even in old age. Along with the Malaysian Ageing Report, TENA also launched other initiatives under their campaign for active ageing.

 

TENA Heroes features advocates with exceptional stories

Among the initiatives launched is TENA Heroes, an initiative featuring 3 advocates whose stories represent the spirit of active ageing even in daily life. Among them includes 73-year-old, Sherry Al Jeffry, a Malaysian actress who has appeared in local films such as Paskal (2018) and The Journey (2014).

To boot, TENA successfully launched TENAcity, Malaysia’s first ever search for a band consisting of 50 year olds and above.

Starting June till October 2023, TENAcity is set to tour the nation with performances in 5 of Malaysia’s major cities. Malaysian seniors and public members alike are invited to participate in the various activities during the event tailor-made to encourage active ageing.

Additionally, attendees may receive health checkups and talks at each tour stop from TENA official partner, Caring Pharmacy Group.
