Poh Kong Launches ‘Pesona Tanjung’ Series with Royal Elegance and Local Pride

When Malaysia’s biggest name in bling drops a new collection, you know it’s going to shine. But this time, Poh Kong took it to another level.

In a moment of royal glamour and national pride, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, D.K., S.P.M.S., S.S.I.S., S.P.M.K., Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, officially launched the Anggun ‘Pesona Tanjung’ series at Poh Kong’s high-tech manufacturing HQ in Shah Alam.

This launch wasn’t just another jewellery showcase, it was a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and Malaysia’s growing status as a hub for fine jewellery design.

🌸 The Story Behind ‘Pesona Tanjung’

Inspired by Selangor’s state flower, the Bunga Tanjung (Mimusops elengi), the new Anggun series captures everything the flower stands for: unity, purity, and resilience. Each design carries the spirit of its nine delicate petals, blending Malaysia’s cultural roots with modern artistry.

Think: tradition meets TikTok-worthy sparkle.

⚙️ Built in Shah Alam, Made for the World

Instead of launching at a fancy hotel ballroom, Poh Kong hosted the event at their state-of-the-art Shah Alam manufacturing facility, the heart of their operations since 2001.

Quite poetic actually. Launching a line inspired by the Selangor State Flower, in the presence of the Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, in the Selangor Capital.

This RM30 million facility is where innovation meets tradition. It’s constantly being upgraded with new tech and sustainable production practices while keeping the human touch of local artisans. There’s even a 4,000 sq. ft. training centre that builds the next generation of Malaysian goldsmiths.

Basically, Poh Kong isn’t just making jewellery, they’re building legacies.
