Muslim Pro Launches “Ramadan Re:Charge” Initiative Focused on Sustainable Faith Engagement

As Ramadan approaches, Muslim lifestyle application Muslim Pro has introduced “Ramadan Re:Charge,” a month-long initiative designed to support users in maintaining spiritual consistency throughout the fasting period.

The initiative is built around a widely observed pattern during Ramadan: while enthusiasm and intention are often strong at the beginning of the month, sustaining momentum can become more challenging as professional, academic and family responsibilities accumulate.

According to Nafees Khundker, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Muslim Pro, the initiative acknowledges these realities rather than prescribing a fixed way to observe Ramadan.

“At Muslim Pro, we don’t question the intention or desire of Muslims to practise their faith, especially during Ramadan,” he said. “What we recognise is that sustaining that intention over the course of the month can be challenging when people are balancing work, family and daily responsibilities.”

He added that Ramadan Re:Charge aims to provide tools and content that are “realistic, personal and compassionate,” supporting users at different stages of their spiritual journey without imposing pressure or comparison.

Focus on Flexible Quran Engagement

Central to the initiative is the app’s Quran feature, one of the most widely used functions during Ramadan. The platform offers personalised Khatam goals, verse bookmarking, audio recitations and reflection tools, allowing users to read, listen or memorise at their own pace.

Rather than encouraging rigid completion targets, the design emphasises sustained engagement, recognising that daily participation may vary over the course of the month.

Curated Ramadan Content and Micro-Series

As part of its broader Ramadan offering, Qalbox, available within the Muslim Pro app, will feature a curated selection of reflective programming. This includes an expansion into short-form episodic content, or micro-series, reflecting growing demand for concise storytelling formats that fit into daily routines.

In Malaysia, this includes the locally produced micro-series Light of Transit, alongside longer-form reflective content such as The Olive Tree That Remembered, developed in collaboration with the Restu Foundation. The programming strategy signals Muslim Pro’s intent to diversify how faith-based narratives are delivered, balancing accessibility with thematic depth.

Community Engagement Through Ummah

Community participation forms another component of the Ramadan Re:Charge initiative. During the month, Muslim Pro’s Ummah social space will host a global photo-sharing contest, inviting users to share everyday Ramadan moments. Ten selected participants will receive Badal Umrah prizes, enabling them to honour loved ones through an act of worship performed on their behalf.

Malaysia as a Key Market

Malaysia remains one of Muslim Pro’s most engaged markets, with over one million active users locally. This Ramadan, the app experience will be aligned with the Ramadan Re:Charge framework, integrating faith tools, curated content and community features under a unified narrative.

With this initiative, Muslim Pro appears to be positioning itself not merely as a utility app, but as a digital companion responsive to the evolving ways in which Ramadan is observed in contemporary life.
