Boost Bank is giving away 42 GOLD BARS to Malaysians just for saving money?!

Okay, listen — we know Malaysians love two things: saving money and winning stuff. Now imagine if both of those things came together, but with a shiny twist…
That’s what’s happening right now with Boost Bank and CelcomDigi. These two powerhouses just announced a campaign that basically says “Hey bro, save your duit, and maybe we’ll give you a gold bar.”
Wait, gold bar? Like, actual emas, not the kind your grandma says is “gold” but actually just a yellow bangle from Petaling Street.
Here’s how you might be able to bring home some emas
From now until 31 May 2025, you can take part in this campaign that’s literally putting real gold on the line (well, 42 of them, to be exact). Here’s what you gotta do:
- Deposit at least RM1,000 of fresh funds (this means money not already sitting inside your account) into your CelcomDigi Jar in the Boost Bank app before 30 April 2025.
- Keep that money untouched (minimum RM1,000) in the same Jar until 31 May 2025.
- Make sure your CelcomDigi Jar stays active by spending at least RM20/month — either on prepaid reloads or postpaid bills via Boost eWallet or Boost Bank debit card.
Simple, right? Save money, pay your phone bill, and you might just walk away with a gold bar.
What’s a “CelcomDigi Jar”?

It’s not some hipster thing you find in a café in TTDI. The CelcomDigi Jar is a savings “bucket” inside the Boost Bank app — like a mini vault where you can stash money for specific goals. In this case: winning shiny things.
Plus, your money in the Jar earns 3.3% interest p.a. DAILY, so your savings are growing while you do literally nothing. No need to spin a wheel, no need to follow 10 pages on Instagram, and definitely no need to tag your 5 friends.
Here’s how to increase your chances
Well, every RM1,000 you deposit = one entry into the draw. So if you put in RM3,000, you’ve got 3 entries. RM10,000? That’s 10 entries. More money = more chances. (Basic maths, folks.)
But don’t try to game the system by withdrawing and re-depositing — your money needs to stay put in the Jar until end of May for it to count.
Boost Bank is going full “Malaysia Boleh” with 42 lucky winners, and they’ll be announced by 14 June 2025. So just in time for you to flex that gold bar at your Hari Raya open house (if you’re lucky lah).
So there you have it. If your 2025 New Year resolution was to “save more money” or “touch grass and not your savings,” this might be the perfect excuse to do it — with potential golden rewards.
Good luck, and may the gold bar be ever in your favour .
