Bunga drops her FIRST ever Raya banger, and it’s got that Magika magic!

Hari Raya is around the corner, and you know what that means—new Raya songs to blast in the car while you balik kampung! This year, Malaysian rapper and singer Bunga is jumping on the festive hype train with her very first Raya single, Sebulan Raya. And guess what? She teamed up with none other than legendary composer Edry Abdul Halim for this banger!
Here’s how Sebulan Raya came to life
According to Bunga, the idea for Sebulan Raya sparked out of nowhere when she attended Muzikal Lawak Superstar last year. The event played Magika, the iconic song from the 2010 film of the same name, and suddenly—BOOM, childhood memories unlocked!
“Just listening to the song reminded me of the excitement of the film since it was a childhood memory. So I met Edry and asked him to make a new version.”

Edry, being the musical genius that he is, gave Bunga a selection of beats to work with. Not only that, but he also let her go wild with the lyrics and ideas—which is probably why this song slaps so hard.

“This is one of the most valuable experiences for me because I get to work with a composer who has extensive experience,” Bunga said, clearly still in disbelief that she got to collab with a legend.
A little backstory behind Bunga’s Sebulan Raya MV
No Raya song is complete without a music video that makes you wanna call your mom and tell her you’re on the way home. Bunga’s Sebulan Raya MV, filmed in Sekinchan, Kuala Selangor, captures exactly that feeling.

She personally came up with the concept, making sure it’s filled with the joy and excitement of celebrating Raya with family. And based on what she’s saying, it’s gonna be full of surprises.
“What can I say, this MV is indeed lively and full of surprises. I hope all listeners will be satisfied and happy to welcome the arrival of Syawal this time,” she teased.
Where you can listen to this bop!

Bunga has also hinted that a full album is on the way, so this might just be the beginning of an even bigger musical flex. For now, let’s all enjoy Sebulan Raya and get hyped for the most wonderful time of the year (for Malaysians, at least).
