CelcomDigi recently unveiled their state-of-the-art CelcomDigi AI Experience Centre (AiX); a one-stop immersive innovation and collaboration hub, which was designed to lead, inspire, and advance the creation of world-class digital solutions across a range of sectors. The CelcomDigi AiX serves as a focal point for cross-industry collaborations, leveraging emerging technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), Robotics, Analytics and Metaverse.
And we got to take a look inside to see what it was really like! So, here’s what it entails…
CelcomDigi AiX features interactive exhibitions with real-world simulations
As expected of a place called the AI Experience Centre, the CelcomDigi AiX features a stunning array of exhibitions, providing an immersive experience combining sight, sound, and touch, and features real-world solutions ready for immediate deployment. The technology and showcases will also be refreshed periodically to bring new experiences to visitors, but for the time being, here are the showcases that they currently have:
1. The Infinity
The Infinity is a space designed to provide visitors with immersive, interactive experiences of digital society simulations using cutting-edge audio-visual technology. Here, visitors can witness the way that modern-day AI and 5G technology is used across various industries, and interact with the screens by tapping and touching different areas to toggle actions.
2. The Gallery
The Gallery space showcases a physical array of real-world industrial use-cases to display the transformative potential of emerging technologies key to enterprise growth. These respective simulations display a range of 5G and AI-powered technologies and robotics across eight verticals namely manufacturing, logistics, energy, fleet, port, healthcare, education and agritech. Of the 45 solutions featured within the eight verticals, 13 of them are live use cases being piloted with enterprises in Malaysia.
The Gallery space also features their own AI model AI-RA; the first AI digital human and resident co-host of the Centre’s immersive tours. While AI-RA interacts with visitors and explains the diverse use cases on display, she is also accompanied by a family of autonomous robotics who perform a diverse range of tasks including perimeter surveillance, delivery of goods, entertainment, and personal assistance, demonstrating the power of combining AI and robotics to improve convenience for work, life, and play.
With such a dynamic range of experiences available there, we were quite intrigued to find out that the CelcomDigi AiX doesn’t only serve as a exhibition…
It’s also a live lab for businesses looking to integrate 5G and other tech!
With over 40 partners from global technology leaders to local solution providers, AiX also houses a collaborative space that serves as a cutting-edge live lab environment for interested parties – from startups to large-scale enterprises, and from academia to government – to co-create, test, and validate new solutions that pair 5G with other emerging technologies. This collaborative facility is designed to spur rapid technology advancements and growth of new digital start-ups, enterprises, and future skills to build a flourishing innovation ecosystem and fuel Malaysia’s digital transformation.

For instance, we got to take a look at ‘BoomGrow Farms’ own mobile farm that grows leafy greens and other herbs, all inside a SHIPPING CONTAINER! The farm utilises precision-farming techniques, and cutting-edge technology such as 5G, to create and maintain optimum conditions inside these mobile farms to grow produce all-year-round!

Unfortunately, the CelcomDigi AI Experience Centre is currently not open to general members of the public. However, the AiX will still be opened for visitors on a scheduled basis. Technology and business partners, academia, government agencies, and corporate organisations are invited to visit the AiX to take a glimpse at the future of our digital society, as well as learn about how modern technology can be incorporated into their businesses. The AiX’s use cases will also be refreshed periodically to ensure visitors experience and co-creators can test the latest technologies in keeping with the dynamism of the tech industry.
