Celebrating Purple Cane Tea Cuisine’s Upcoming 30th Anniversary With Its Signature Dishes

The Purple Cane Group was founded in the month of April thirty-nine years ago by the late Mr. Lim Hock Lam as a community-owned enterprise centered on the Chinese tea culture and celebrates all aspects of Chinese cultural heritage from the arts to literature, music and dances. Its offshoot into food was born nine years after in 1997 as Purple Cane Tea Cuisine, Malaysia’s first and pioneering tea-infused cuisine restaurant.

This year, 2026, marks the 30th year of Purple Cane Tea Cuisine’s existence and after three decades of championing the art of cooking with tea, it is time to celebrate this esteemed culinary institution’s Pearl anniversary by ‘highlighting’ its signature dishes that have become evergreen favourites of its loyal patrons!

In conjunction with the restaurant’s 30th anniversary, ‘Set Meals for Two Persons’ will also be launched from April onwards for lunches and dinners in order to better appeal to paired diners.

Celebrating the Classics: Signature dishes from its menu that have become fan favourites

Ms. Lee Poi Kuen, Chief Financial Officer of Purple Cane Tea Cuisine, shared:

“As the pioneer in the art of cooking with tea, Purple Cane Tea Cuisine have created in the past three decades a wide range of tea-infused cuisines, tea-infused snacks and tea-infused desserts. We also have very well received tea-based nourishing soups that are rooted in Chinese culture and centred on wellbeing. This April, we want to celebrate our classic and signature dishes that have become fan favourites over the years.”

Purple Cane Tea Cuisine’s use of tea as an ingredient in preparing its celebrated dishes serves to balance, enhance and complement the different flavours in the dishes itself. In addition, the restaurant’s adherence to the cooking philosophy of low-oil, low-salt and low-seasoning means that diners get to experience the richness of flavours yet refreshing taste that is light, harmonious and most importantly, healthy.

Shining the spotlight on the Classics, here is the list of its fan favourites’ signature dishes:

These Classic dishes from its menu are available across its Purple Cane Tea Cuisine’s Shaw Parade (Pudu) and Mid Valley Gardens’ outlets daily.

Aside from the above, for patrons seeking a non-meat meal, they also have a Vegetarian menu that has some classic selections too that should cater for such needs.
