Eco-shop is providing 2 MILLION worth of e-vouchers to sapot flood victims

If there’s one thing Malaysians know, it’s that floods can hit us hard, especially during the rainy season. But when disaster strikes, it’s heartwarming to see local companies stepping up to help. Enter Eco-shop, the brand we know and love for its budget-friendly goodies, with an initiative that’s as heartwarming as your mom’s ayam masak merah.

Eco-shop recently launched their Eco Care #SAMAHATISAMABANTU initiative to support families affected by the devastating floods in Kelantan and other parts of Malaysia. Through this initiative, they’re putting their money where their mouth is—literally—by dishing out RM2 million worth of e-vouchers to 20,000 families. Yup, you heard that right: RM2 million!

Eco-shop is providing vouchers to flood victims

From 13 to 26 December 2024, eligible families can apply to receive RM100 worth of e-vouchers. These can be used to purchase essential items like food, household supplies, and personal care products—basically everything you need to get back on your feet after a disaster.

And applying isn’t too difficult either. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Submit Your Application: Scan the QR code (or click this link) to get started.
  • Provide Some Proof: You’ll need to upload a copy of your IC and an official police report confirming you were affected by the floods.
  • Get Your Vouchers: Once your documents are verified, your RM100 e-vouchers will be credited to your Eco-shop account within five working days. Easy peasy, kan?

Eco-shop didn’t just stop at vouchers. Teaming up with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS), they’ve also distributed 200 Eco-shop Care Packages to families in Kelantan. These packages, valued at over RM10,000, are packed with personal care products, rescue kits, and other immediate necessities. Imagine how much that’ll mean to someone who’s just lost everything.

Eco-shop’s efforts show that even small actions can make a big difference. If you’re feeling inspired, you can support humanitarian organisations like MRCS or even donate directly to flood relief efforts. Because at the end of the day, Malaysians are at our best when we come together to help each other.

So, whether it’s shopping at Eco-shop or spreading the word about their initiative, let’s all do our part. After all, #SAMAHATISAMABANTU isn’t just a hashtag—it’s a reminder that we’re all in this together.
