KidZania collabs with Royal Canin to teach kids proper pet care
We all had grand ambitions when we were kids – astronaut, policeman, popstar and even a Youtuber but more often than not, dreams become memes. This writer once had a dream to be a fashion designer since young but too bad, I’m stuck here writing this for you.
But this often comes as part of the learning experience. Maybe the reality of the job isn’t what we thought, or maybe we just never got an opportunity to explore and develop it while we were kids.
Well, this writer apparently found out on Raya that this writer’s 7-year old niece wanted to be a veterinarian even though her father didn’t allow her to keep any pets in the house.
Lucky for her, she doesn’t have to wait till she’s all grown up just to learn how to properly care for animals because KidZania has recently partnered up with Royal Canin, a leading health nutrition brand for pets, to let your kids explore ways of being a veterinarian with hands-on activities provided.
New Royal Canin establishment is opened at KidZania
If you’re a parent, you must’ve heard of KidZania from your friends because they’ve brought their kids there before to learn and navigate real-world careers on their own. KidZania give these kids a chance to roleplay as anyone they want such as, firefighters or doctors while roaming freely in this child-sized metropolis with proper guidance.
With the World Veterinary Day coming up on April 29, Royal Canin in partnership with KidZania has launched its own establishment in this child-sized city to let children understand the importance of being a veterinarian and also spark their curiosity on what it takes to care for animals.
“It’s important for us to start raising awareness and educate the future of pet owners at a young age while cultivating a sense of responsible pet ownership because we believe that they would be the veterinarian of tomorrow.” – Teh Meng Li, Market Head of Royal Canin
The launch of KidZania collaboration with Royal Canin featured talks by industry professionals such as, President of the Malaysian Small Animal Veterinary Association, Dr Amilan Sivagurunathan who focused on a vet’s role to protect the animal welfare while Dr Kavindran Krisnasamy from Royal Canin Malaysia Corporate Affairs (and also a practising veterinarian) shared his personal experience as a day-to-day veterinarian.
So, what are you waiting for? Take your children to KidZania and let them discover the veterinarian in them while trying out different careers that they’re interested in. If you want to know more information on KidZania’s activities, you can check out their website. 🐱
