If you’ve never heard of mmCineplexes Plus in Berjaya Times Square, it’s because it’s a hidden gem, and it’s also pretty new.

Despite its recent debut, it’s already causing a stir with some seriously cool features. The other day, Cilisos had the chance to check it out firsthand, and we’re here to spill all the yummy popcorn.

mmCineplexes Plus offers budget luxury to full-on lavish comfort

Just as every professional gamer understands the value of a comfortable seat, so do dedicated movie-goers. If you’re spending money on a ticket, why not enjoy the best experience possible?

At mmCineplexes Plus, you can experience luxury within your budget. At the top of the line are their Cabana and Smoove seats, exclusively available in the Elite Plus Hall. Say goodbye to standard chairs and hello to these spacious beds, complete with their own snack side tables!

The aforementioned Cabana seats that make you feel like you’re on a king sized bed.

You get blankets too! Plus, a complimentary drink of coffee, water, or a soft drink. It’s literally the comfort of home but with a sprinkle of ✨extra✨.

Price-wise, they’re a MASSIVE steal compared to other fancy cinemas out there 👀. At just RM69 for the Cabana seats (that’s RM34.50 per person!), you could say it’s like getting the VIP treatment without the VIP cost. In fact, during the Kiddo movie session, the Cabana seat offers a 2+1 deal: two adults and one kid, with the kid’s ticket free of charge!

The Smoove seats are no slouch either. While the Cabana seat feels like lounging on a luxurious bed, the Smoove seat is a cushy recliner that’s perfect for couples or even solo movie-goers. There’s also a nice amount of space between the seats, so you won’t hear your neighbour kunyah-ing their popcorn.

If you opt for a movie in the Dolby Atmos hall, what you’re getting is an audio experience that’s totally next-level. The seats are all leather, and depending if you’re there with a special kawan or flying solo, you get to choose from their single seats or their deluxe twin seats. Even in the standard hall, you still have the option of cozy leather seats or the classic fabric ones.

Side note the cinema is super spacious, so it won’t ever feel crowded.

And it’s a pretty steep hall too, so the view is good even if there’s a 6 foot giant sitting in front of you, huhu.

Their fully digital ticket stands are in three spots: two at the cinema (Levels 1 and 3) and one on the ground floor of the mall right in front of the main entrance.
