Custom stamps, ice cream, and cafes? Pos Malaysia is more fun than you remember
Nothing screams adulting quite like standing in line at the post office, clutching your bills, insurance and road tax forms, or finally sending the parcel to your mom that you promised her… three months ago. It’s exhausting, but hey, adulting doesn’t have to be all work and no play. What if we told you that Pos Malaysia is, dare we say it, actually kinda cool now?
Yup, they’ve been quietly leveling up their buildings and services behind the scenes. And in doing so, they’ve become your ultimate one-stop centre to tick off those errands with ease, and maybe even a little bit of style.
Pos Malaysia has come a long way since its early days, offering all the cool stuff we wish they had back then, like custom stamps with your face on them. With these awesome little perks tucked into your post office run, suddenly, errand day doesn’t sound so bad, kan? So, without further ado, here are 5 ways Pos Malaysia is making your errands way cooler than before.
1. You can put your face on a stamp!
Yes, you read that right. Your. Own. Face. Ever dreamed of seeing your glorious selfie slapped on an official stamp? With Pos Malaysia’s Setem Ku, you can turn your face into a fully legit, stick-it-anywhere-you-want stamp.
We tried it out ourselves, and it’s as simple as it gets. For just RM25, you get 10 personalized stamps! All you need is 2 photos and you have the option to choose from 3 different border designs. The whole process took us less than five minutes.
One thing to note though, you’ll have to swing by the KL General Post Office near Pasar Seni to get them printed in person. Alternatively, just jump onto your computer and get it done online. Easy peasy.
Just imagine sending out wedding invites, festive cards, a surprise snail mail, or even holiday cards with your beaming faces on them. The possibilities are endless when it comes to making your mail stand out and feel extra personal!
2. One-stop centre for all your grown-up woes
Let’s face it, adulting is hard. But Pos Malaysia makes it a bit easier by letting you settle all your boring-but-important stuff in one spot. Need to renew your lesen and road tax? Done. Pay your cukai pintu? Easy. Insurance renewal or bill payments? Also covered. With over 200 types of transactions, you can go from “I have so much to do” to “Done and dusted” in one go.
And the best part is you don’t even have to line up at the counter to do it. At selected post offices, you can easily pay your utility bills like water and electricity at these super convenient machines—no hassle involved!
3. Take five from your chores at the Pos Shop
Alright, fine. Let’s say the kiosk machine has a line, or you need to actually talk to the people at the counter, and suddenly you’re stuck there for more than just a few minutes. Obviously, you’re not going to stare at a blank wall the whole time, right? The good news is that some Pos Malaysia outlets have a Pos Shop where you can shop for a coffee, ice cream, or a quick snack while you wait your turn.
We went ourselves to the one in Brickfields, and it’s really like its own convenience store. There’s just so much to choose from…
And hey, why not go all out? Knock off your errands and reward yourself with a dessert for smashing it! That’s exactly what we did… though, yeah, we may have gone a little overboard 🥹.
4. Go green with Pos Malaysia 🌱
Okay, real talk: Every time we send out a package, we’re actually adding to carbon emissions. But Pos Malaysia is trying to minimise that as much as possible. In fact, by 2050, they’re aiming for net zero carbon emissions, which basically means less pollution and cleaner air for all of us. YAY!
So how are they making this happen? Well, they’re transitioning to electric delivery vehicles (bye-bye noisy trucks!) and using solar panels at some of their facilities. Plus, they’ve started using eco-friendly packaging materials for parcels.
“Pos Malaysia’s packaging such as its B2B plastic flyers is now made of 80% recycled material, while cardboard boxes are 70% to 90% recycled materials,” –Excerpt from Malaysiakini
5. Pos Malaysia World: A fun, interactive site for promos and more

Think of it as a mix between an educational hub and a discount haven. Whether you’re curious about Pos Malaysia’s history or just want to save a few ringgit, there’s something for everyone.
All this to say, Pos Malaysia isn’t that place you drag yourself to anymore…
Your friendly neighbourhood post office is officially cool now
It’s keeping up with the times, throwing in eco-friendly efforts, and sprinkling a bit of fun into the mundane.
