There’s 11 exquisitely-designed halls, each with its own lush interior and comfortable seats. Equipped with high-end tech for the ultimate cinematic experience, The Exchange TRX’s Aurum Theatre branch is home to the first IMAX hall featuring fully reclinable seats, as well as being fitted with immersive 12 channel sound. It’s also home to the largest ScreenX in Malaysia, offering a 270 degree panoramic experience. Additionally, both IMAX and ScreenX enthusiasts can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks that come with the movie pass!
Not all cinema halls are the same. The Maybank Comfort cabins are inspired by the magical Grand Theatre, best suited for those seeking utmost comfort with the new Stressless recliners that are equipped with patented Stressless technology. Prefer lavish instead? The 2 Getha Lux Suites have plush Getha recliners with a built-in mini fridge, complete with snacks and beverages! It’s also best suited for watching longer movies in thanks to the recliners having wireless charging ports, dimmable lights, soft blankets, and complimentary bedroom sleepers.
Then, there’s cinema halls more focused on set dressing. The 4 Escape Studio Halls are designed after epic movie theme and offer an Instagram-worthy experience to remember: There’s the La Romance Hall, inspired by the city of love, Paris and romantic tales told on the big screen. The vibrant Neon Nippon Hall is posed after the bustling streets of Shinjuku in Tokyo. Meanwhile, the Couture Hall, which is inspired by the infamous The Devil Wears Prada movie, embodies modern sophistication and a monochromatic colour theme with a splash of red. Lastly, The Rhapsody Hall is a classy, music-themed hall that’s an ode to classic film scores with musical notes graced across the walls.
Regardless of the hall chosen, each Aurum Pass includes a choice of selection from a menu of snacks and drinks, served to your seat as you enjoy your movie.
There’s more than just a cinema’s menu of food and drinks you can choose from! Hokkaido Table presents a Japanese-Italian fusion menu, comprising an Omakase Restaurant and Bar that promises the freshest seasonal produce and rustic flavours of Italian cuisine. Labelled as the first-of-its kind Omakase within cinema premises, the Omakase menu brings out the freshest flavours with both lunch and dinner dining options available.
The restaurant offers hearty flavours like Sashimi Moriawase, signature seafood pasta and risotto dishes, mains which include fish, poultry and meat that encompass light yet vibrant profiles from the medley of Italian herbs complemented with umami flavours. If you need to balance them out with something sweet, there’s desserts like Tiramisu, burnt cheesecake, and strawberry shortcake. As for drinks, the Bar offers a selection of refreshing mocktails and bites to enjoy.
There’s also the Kissa Cafe and Diner, a vibrant and casual space to chill out and talk to your friends about movie theories over Japanese-Western food. Inspired by authentic Japanese kissatens and adding in a touch of the Western diner aesthetic, the menu includes classic burgers, sandos, ramen, and pastas with a Japanese twist. Wash the food down with fun drinks like Galaxy Lemonade, Sweet Potato Latte, Cheese Mousse Matcha and Mocha Cheese Foam.
