Empower and educate your girls through play in this new LEGO workshop
Being a parent, it’s hard to figure out what activity you can do with your child that they’ll actually enjoy, much less how to properly teach them life lessons and healthy mindsets. Thankfully, LEGO Group is launching Play Unstoppable, a campaign that rolls both fun and healthy mindset cultivation in one workshop!
As part of this campaign, LEGO Group will be launching it’s first-ever Creativity Camp at the Sunway Velocity mall on the 3rd and 4th of March where the workshop will take place. Throughout the 2 hour workshop hosted across 2 days, you’ll learn about important emotional life skills like cultivating a growth mindset through a variety of LEGO building activities. With the unique curriculum designed by parenting coach Jacinth Liew, the Creativity Camp will also equip parents with tangible tools and tips to empower their daughters.
Through creative play, parents can help nurture confidence and creativity in their daughters by liberating them from the pressure of perfection and enjoying the freedom to…play unstoppable!

Various LEGO themes to explore various ideas
There’s a plethora of LEGO themes to enjoy, like LEGO Friends, Disney Princess, Creator, Classic, DREAMZzz, Harry Potter, Minecraft, Gabby’s Dollhouse and an all-new Animal Crossing theme!

While you can do just about anything with LEGO, each LEGO theme is designed to better explore a certain style of play. For example, the LEGO Friends theme is designed to play out a wide variety of scenes based on real-life experiences, including participation in sustainability efforts like animal conservation and tree planting. Meanwhile, kids can live out their more fantastical dreams in LEGO DREAMZzz by creating their own creatures and vehicles.
Parents can also learn a thing or two
LEGO gives so much possibilities, it can be hard to know where to start! So, the curriculum can give you some pointers and what specifically can be cultivated from the activities. For example:
Build a unique trophy that celebrates everyone’s strengths, where you and your daughter can interview each other on strengths, weaknesses and what can improvements can be made. This helps cultivate a supportive environment of feeling valued, receiving feedback and being heard.
Or build a fashion store that would exist in 2050 and let your imagination run wild with what the future will look like! Besides unleashing wild creativity, this activity also encourages problem solving by getting your daughter to girlbossively dissect what criticisms they have with the stores of today and figure out how to make improvements.

It’s not just the kids learning though, some of us may not have grown up with these skills and mindsets adequately explored, so now’s the time!
It’s hard to know what’s the right thing to say to your child, so this workshop also teaches parents how to talk to their kids about certain things, like dealing with mistakes and being more confident.
