Cuti around the world in LEGOLAND Malaysia’s newly expanded Miniland!

LEGOLAND has got to be the theme park in Malaysia. Besides it being the first international theme park in the nation, it’s also the first LEGOLAND to open in Asia. All this to say, Malaysia has quite the history with LEGOLAND. Now, they’ve partnered with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) with the aim to be a major player in Malaysia’s tourism comeback. What better way to draw more people in than with new additions?

LEGOLAND always strives to open up the new year with new things to keep it fresh and exciting. For 2024, there’s a new 4D movie, the LEGOLAND School Challenge is opening up for international participation, and then there’s the biggest expansion for all the LEGO model enthusiasts…

MINILAND turns medium!

MINILAND has had a major expansion: MINILAND Amazing Malaysia. This new section is dedicated to commemorating the cultural diversity, iconic landmarks and architectural heritage of Malaysia through 126 meticulously crafted, built-to-scale LEGO models. Now, you can witness the beauty of Malaysia all in one spot.

Afraid to admire these models for too long because you’re worried you’ll bake in the sun? Worry not, MINILAND is now shaded!

Building MINILAND Amazing Malaysia, and other MINILAND sections for the matter, wasn’t an easy feat. It took thousands of hours and millions of LEGO bricks to build. Makes you really think about what the builders had to go through. Conveniently enough, a lot of LEGOLAND Malaysia’s model builders came from engineering and architectural backgrounds.

However, there’s a search for the one builder to rule them all:

The search for a Master Model Builder

LEGOLAND Malaysia is looking for someone to be its first-ever Master Model Builder. Such a builder would be responsible for hosting LEGO building workshops to visitors, build LEGO creations to life, and become the face of LEGOLAND Malaysia on site and on social media.

Master Model Builders don’t need any special qualifications like an engineering degree, the core qualifications just involve having passion, hands that don’t succumb to the pinching pain of LEGO, and of course, patience with kids.

But okay, maybe you don’t wanna turn your passion into a job. Maybe you just wanna stick to building LEGO for fun, and maybe you wanna do it a lot.

Then you may wanna get your hands on an annual pass

Annual passes grant you unlimited access to the park throughout the year, all while unlocking exclusive events, discounts and early access to new attractions. This pass should also be something you’d eye on if you’re keen on visiting LEGOLAND Malaysia’s special events, like the upcoming Lunar New Year celebration and the Halloween celebration.

If you think they’re a little too pricey for you, there’s a special offer for Malaysian and Singaporean: Get automatically upgraded to an annual pass by just paying for a full-priced day ticket!

So if you wanna look at cool LEGO structures or build them yourself, buy some tickets for your family (or just for yourself, we should all be kids at heart) and make some time to visit LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
