We buka puasa with Maria’s SteakCafe’s special Raya platter. All we can say is… Well Done.

Over the month of Ramadan, once we’ve had our fill of Roti Johns and other goodies from the Ramadan bazaar, we might start asking… “What do you want to eat for iftar?” If you’re into a hearty steakhouse-style meal with a traditional Ramadan twist, Maria’s SteakCafe has curated such a menu available from March 10 to May 7!

Other than top-notch food with a view, Maria’s SteakCafe’s communal concept menu showcases a 3-tier spread of abundant food fit for bringing people together. Each tier features round trays packed with food, first topped with maria’s signature appetiser, followed by the main course with delectable sides.

This seasonal menu is available in beef and non-beef options with portions suitable for 2 or 4 people, perfectly catering for intimate or large gatherings with diverse preferences. Following tradition, the meal begins with dates and Maria’s SteakCafe’s special Rose & Lychee mocktail to ease you in from a day’s fasting before you indulge in the feast.

3 tier platters of steakhouse Maria's SteakCafe's seasonal Ramadan menu.

Regardless of which set you choose, they all begin with flavourful Spicy Mussels in a tomato-based sauce, served with crunchy garlic bread. The mussels tasted super fresh and we really liked the sauce, which we can best describe as a herbaceous marinara.

Meanwhile, the second tier includes the main course of your choice. For the 4 pax set serving, 2 main meat courses are presented, including the signature Argentinian Striploin and New Zealand Lamb Cutlets in the beef set. Prefer a premium cut? You can upgrade your steaks to the Black Angus Ribeye, Wagyu MB7 Tenderloin or Wagyu MB9 Ribeye.

As for the non-beef set, it offers Grilled Salmon and New Zealand Lamb Cutlets with an option to upgrade the Grilled Salmon to an Atlantic White Cod. If it’s just dining between 2, both beef and non-beef sets come with Grilled Salmon or Argentinian Striploin options as main.

All mains are paired with Maria’s SteakCafe’s special sauces for this menu – aromatic Air Asam and Percik Sauce. The Percik Sauce was the crowd favorite and tastes great with anything you’d pair it with.

Speaking of pairings, you won’t lack choices because the third tier is filled with side dishes. There’s rich and earthy portobello mushroom, roasted potatoes, sautéed vegetables, and crunchy steak fries, all favourite combos in Western cuisine. Again, it probably wasn’t intended, but we found that the Percik Sauce was delicious with the roasted potatoes.
