Nestle Msia and Uncle Kentang give ‘free’ ice cream pints to those in need for Raya
With the recent heat wave in Malaysia, who wouldn’t want to take a bite of something cold and sweet especially when you’re out visiting open houses for Raya celebrations? Even this writer wanted to jump in a tub of ice cream despite wearing her newly bought baju kurung.
Well, you’re lucky if you can get a cup of ice cream just so you can beat the heat, but not everyone has the same privilege. The cheapest cup of ice cream to you can be a huge expense to someone else, especially if they’re having trouble making ends meet.
Since the spirit of Ramadhan is all about giving back to the community, Nestlé Ice Cream Malaysia partnered up with Uncle Kentang to give out ice cream pints of the recently launched Nestlé LA CREMERIA Chocolate Brownie Fudge and Butter Cookies Ice Cream to the underprivileged communities as part of this year’s Raya campaign.
Nestlé and Uncle Kentang distributed over 10,000 ice cream pints
Since the Nestlé Raya Together-gether campaign is all about bringing joy to everyone they, along with social activist Kuan Chee Heng (also known as Uncle Kentang), has given away over 10,000 ice cream pints to more than 2,000 families that were mainly from the B40 community.
Uncle Kentang was also accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia Berhad, Juan Aranols with Business Executive Officer, Teo Heng Keat; personally handing out pints of Nestlé LA CREMERIA ice cream to the families.
“We know well of the little smiles when sharing a nice pint of great ice cream can bring. We hope our humble contribution will help to make Raya celebrations and gatherings brighter for those in need.” – Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer of Nestle Malaysia Berhad
Also, if you’re interested to try their latest Chocolate Brownie Fudge and Butter Cookies Ice Cream flavour in this hot weather, you can always find it at all major supermarkets across the country. 🍦
