PMSL SEA Summer 2025 Is Here — And It’s Gonna Be Wild

The wait is finally over — the PUBG MOBILE Super League SEA (PMSL SEA) is back for its Summer 2025 season and it’s about to be insane. From June 4th to June 22nd, 24 of Southeast Asia’s top squads will be duking it out for a shot at glory and a USD 200,000 prize pool. Yup, you read that right. Things are kicking off in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the league stage running every Wednesday to Sunday — and only the top 16 will make it to the Grand Finals from June 20–22, happening live at BASKETHALL GBK, Senayan. Get ready for pure chaos (the fun kind).

TECNO is back as the Official Smartphone Partner to keep those frames buttery smooth, while CelcomDigi is making sure there’s zero lag as the Official Connectivity Partner. And just to turn things up another notch, this season introduces the “Smash Rule” during Super Weekends — which basically means no one’s safe and everything’s on the line.
Here’s how it works: 24 teams will be split into 3 groups, but only the top 16 teams weekly get to move on to Super Weekend. Day 1 = 6 matches. Day 2 = the chaos begins. The leaderboard leader’s points +10 becomes the Match Point Threshold. If anyone hits that and bags a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, they’re the week’s champs. If not? Up to 8 matches will be played and it’s all down to total points.
Oh — and this season is even more cracked because it’s also the official qualifier for the Esports World Cup. So yeah, it’s not just bragging rights anymore, it’s world stage time.
Now for the Malaysian hype: SIX of our teams are heading to Jakarta, and they are NOT playing around. Let’s give it up for CelcomDigi Alliance (CDAL), SEM9, HomeBois (HB), Maqna Esports Club (MEC), New Era (NWE), and Todak (TDK). CDAL and SEM9 are sticking to the squads that got them Top 5 finishes last season (if it ain’t broke…), but the rest? Full-on glow-ups.

HomeBois is dropping a new lineup but keeping Syamil, their wildcard. Todak brought back TAMM and signed FRENTZY — an absolute beast and two-time champ with BOOM Esports. Maqna Esports is led by legend VOKEY (he’s backkk!), and New Era, reigning champs themselves, are gunning for the crown.
AND there’s more: 16-year-old RAYYAN, aka RIOO, is making his PMSL debut with Indonesian giants Bigetron by Vitality (BTR). The Sarawak-born prodigy is already being talked about in the same breath as icons like UHIGH and ADIKLUQ — no pressure, RAYYAN.
Eugene Chin, Country Manager of Tencent Games Malaysia, said it best: “We’re super proud of our Malaysian teams, and grateful to our sponsors for making all of this possible.” Big love, big dreams, big chicken dinners ahead.
So gear up, tune in, and cheer loud — this isn’t just another tournament. This is PMSL SEA Summer 2025, and it’s gonna be next level.
