New Proton S70 pricing blows Honda City out of the water, starts from RM73,800
The newly launched Proton S70 pricing has been announced. Starting from RM73,800, Proton is also offering buyers 5-years unlimited mileage warranty, financing interest rates from 2.34% p.a., 6 times free labour service, and a pedasss new look to boot.

At it’s official launch at Axiata Arena, Proton unveiled it’s first new sedan since the 2016 Proton Persona. This C-segment sedan looks like it’ll be undercutting the popular Honda City and Toyota Vios, with it’s super competitive pricing.
This beast brings high tech features found in luxury cars to the masses
Similar to the Proton X50, the S70 boasts high tech features. You can control your car remotely via the PROTON Link app, taking out the paranoia of whether or not you’ve locked your car, and making those torturous days of waiting for the AC to start cooling absolutely irrelevant.
All the variants also comes with 8″ or 12.3″ inch touchscreen monitors, and the Flagship & Flagship X variants gives you voice command options, as well as being 4G and Wi-Fi enabled.
In long balik kampung drives, nobody needs to fight over who gets to charge their phones first, as the S70 comes with wireless charger and 5 USB ports. Safety is also enhanced with 13 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, 360 degree camera with 3D display, tyre pressure monitoring system, and even Traffic Sign Information notifies you of the speed limit where there’s a traffic sign in your vicinity.

The Proton S70 comes in 4 variants and 7 colours:
- Proton S70 1.5T Executive: RM73,800
- Proton S70 1.5T Premium: RM79,800
- Proton S70 1.5T Flagship: RM89,800
- Proton S70 1.5T Flagship X: RM94,800
This makes the base variant over RM11,000 cheaper than it’s close competitor, Honda City.
However, you’ll be getting a premium experience with Proton’s new sedan. The S70 comes with 17″ alloy wheels and a rhythmic rear tail light bar for a futuristic look.
The Premium, Flagship and Flagship X variants comes with Leatherette seats, while the Executive variant comes with fabric seats. If you’re someone who enjoys the tropical sunshine, the Flagship X variant also boasts a sun roof so you can catch some fresh air and bathe your skin with vitamin D.
The 7 colours are Snow White (and the 7 colours?), Space Grey, Armour Silver, Passion Red, Quartz Black, Marine Blue and Teal Bayou Green.
Under it’s hood is 1.5L Turbo Engine for a boost of power, giving you 150PS max power and 226Nm max torque. Gear shifting is made faster and smoother with 7-Speed Dual Transmission Clutch with Manual Mode, and ride and handling is tuned for exceptional handling and all-around comfort.
