5 exciting things to look out for at TRX Eats, a month-long food excursion at TRX!
Malaysians generally share one thing in common: and it’s our love for food. From hawker stalls and late-night mamaks, to expensive cafés and atas restaurants, we love ’em all. And now, you can experience a wide array of cuisines at exclusive prices all in one place– complete with drinks, music and dancing, for the whole month of May at TRX Eats!
Spanning across 5 different areas in The Exchange TRX, guests can expect specially crafted tasting menus, workshops, and live entertainment when they visit The Exchange TRX this month. We’ve compiled a list on some of the most exciting things to look out for (and makan) at TRX Eats this month, starting with:
1. Sample from a variety of light bites, without breaking the bank!
If you’re a light eater, or simply looking to try a little bit of everything without destroying your wallet (and your bellies), you can now look out for the variety of light bites and sampler menus which will only be available at selected makan spots in The Exchange TRX itself. Here’s a short list of places in TRX Eats where you can enjoy these small nom-noms:
- Tucker & Co – enjoy a four-course tasting set for RM100++, featuring delectable options such as Cold Capellini Pasta, Mini Slipper Lobster Roll, Piri-Piri Grilled Half Spring Chicken, and Sticky Date Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream.
- VCR Stacks – try their exclusive sandwich sampler box featuring VCR Stacks’ top-selling sandwiches like Ebi Sando, Chicken Katsu, Mushroom Melts, and Pastrami Melts at only RM31.
- Quivo – explore an enticing array of tapas and small plates; featuring delectable options like falafel, beef kebab pita, prawn pops, lamb cutlets, and Moroccan beef brisket. Additionally, their Seafood Medley Risotto, which will be prepared live in a large 24-month-old wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy, will also be available every Saturday.
2. Try your hand at mixing your own cocktails, or making appam
If you’re more of a hands-on person, or simply want to add more recipes to your arsenal of cooking skills that’ll impress your in-laws, a few establishments in TRX Eats will also be hosting a bunch of workshops for both adults and children alike. Here’s a couple of workshops that will be ongoing throughout the month:
- Amazonas – experience a cocktail making workshop , which will allow you the opportunity to learn how to make your own margaritas and mojitos! Classes are free for all guests. [NOTE: This is a non-halal activity]
- Café Colombo – try out their Live Appam Saturdays featuring a variety of flavours, and Workshop Sundays featuring a pol roti workshop for kids.
3. Looking for wine after dine? Check out these happy hour deals!
For those looking for a little more bubbly in their tummy, there will also be unique happy hour deals which will be available at TRX Eats throughout the month of May so that you can enjoy your round of drinks without breaking the bank. (NOTE: Non-halal.)

- Tipsy Flamingo – check out their Sundown Bubblicious event from 3.00 pm till 6.00 pm every Sunday, where guests can relive their luxury vacation vibes and enjoy free-flowing Chandon sparkling wine.
- Las Meninas – enjoy themed evenings including Monday Blues with sangrias and tapas, romantic Tuesdate tasting menus, Ladies’ Nights with free flow of sangria, Thirsty Thursdays, and Paella & Sangria Saturdays.
- Elementary Restaurant & Bar – they will also be hosting themed nights including Lads Night Tuesdays, TGIF Fridays, culminating with Elementary on the Go on Saturday where guests can enjoy a mini Shepherd’s pie with their drink.

Feeling a little full after satisfying your palate and your bellies? Need to keep yourself moving to stop yourself from falling into a food coma? Why not burn off those extra calories you ate by shaking your booty at the Saturday Soiree.
Held every Saturday at the Dining Terrace, guests can witness live musical performances from the popular DJ collective, Saturday Selects, or participate in quick dance classes– from Latin & Hip Hop to Disco, Tropical Groove and Jazz. Saturday Soiree promises an electrifying fusion of music, dancing and gastronomy that will continue until late.
