This fan can inhibit bacteria AND moisturise your hair. It’s the Only Fan you need!

Here’s a question to start off this article: Do y’all think indoor air or outdoor air is more polluted? Chances are, you would’ve guessed the outdoors because:

But you’d be wrong. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the air in homes, offices, malls and other indoor spaces can have 2 to 5 times more pollutants compared to the air outside. On top of that, the Malaysian Clean Air Society says Malaysians spend about 60% (14.4 hours) of their time indoors – and likely higher in recent years – so…. yeah, that’s a lot of pollutants going into your lungs.

But don’t hold your breath just yet! Our friends over at Panasonic came up with a few solutions to turn the dustiest, dirtiest indoor air into a Himalayan breeze, with the main one being their revolutionary nanoe™ X technology.

nanoe™ X are tiny particles that clean up your air like microscopic maids

Kind of like this, but less kancheong.

More specifically, nanoe™ X particles are long-lasting “nano-sized atomized water particles” (a.k.a. teeny weeny water droplets) containing hydroxyl radicals that can “stick to and capture” allergens, viruses, other pollutants in the air; deactivating them in the process. You can read more about how it works here, but we just thought of PacMan after seeing the visualization below:

You can tell that the particle on the right is nanoe™ X cuz it looks like PacMan.

In short, you can get 24-hour protection with nanoe™ X technology, where the particles can not only do the basics like…

  • Inhibit bacteria and viruses
  • Deodorise unpleasant smells (even durian!)
  • Eliminate mould, pollen and other pollutants
  • Remove pesticide residue from air

… but they’re also so kecik that they can penetrate into the fabrics of your home like curtains and sofas for a more thorough cleaning.

But that’s not all. For the more ✨ a e s t h e t i c ✨ focused reader, these water-based particles can also moisturise your skin and hair. At this point you’re probably thinking nanoe way this is legit, but Panasonic has tested nanoe™ X’s effectiveness and safety with independent research institutes.

If you’re thinking this is going to be some super expensive machine that’s going to cost you an arm and a lung in maintenance, well, you can breathe a sigh of relief. For one, the nanoe™ X generator doesn’t require any maintenance – there are no filters to change, and no regular servicing needed. And second, while the original product containing nanoe™ X technology is an air conditioner, they now also come in the forms of ceiling fans and air purifiers.

Panasonic’s nanoe™ X fan cleans your air AND moisturises you

We couldn’t resist

Ceiling fans are a staple in most Malaysian houses simple because of how hot and humid our weather can be. But the Panasonic nanoe™ X Ceiling Fan doesn’t just do the blowey-blowey like any other fan, it has unique features that’ll blow your mind

It has a Yuragi natural breeze function that automatically controls the wind velocity to simulate a gentle breeze. This works in tandem with the Econavi function which intelligently senses the temperature in the room and adjusts the fan speed accordingly, both to reduce energy waste (up to 64% according to Panasonic) and ensure that you always feel like you’re being rocked to sleep by Mother Nature.

Like we said, it’s the Only Fan you need. Img by Panasonic MY.

You’d think that those hi-tech functions will drain electricity mad quick, but the DC motor fan actually uses 55% LESS electricity compared to fans that use Alternating Current (AC) motors, and it’s quieter as well!

The fan is available in two models, either the F-M15MEVBKQH (short pipe) or F-M15MEVBKRH (long pipe), and both retail for RM1,129, which you can pick up at:

But if you already have a fan or living the total aircond life, here’s another consideration…

nanoe™ X air purifiers can smash more than 17 kinds of air pollutants in your home

Panasonic has two new nanoe™ X Air Purifier models which can provide a cleaner environment for those with nasal allergies and/or young children.

They both feature nanoe™ X technology alongside a HEPA Composite Filter with the Super Alleru-Buster, green tea catechin (an antioxidant), and anti-bacterial enzyme that further inhibits bacteria and viruses, along with 17 other allergens with a 99% efficiency rate. The filter also effectively removes up to 99.97% of PM0.003 particles – which are really, really small Particulate Matter that are inhaled and deposited in the respiratory system.

The RM2,599 model: F-VXV70AWM

In terms of differences, the more premium one – F-VXV70AWM which retails for RM2,599 – features a Mega Catcher suction system. According to Panasonic, dust tends to hang around the 0 – 30cm zone from the floor and, while that’s not so bad for us adults, babies and very young kids are more likely to be affected by these pesky particles.

On top of that, this model also comes with the Econavi technology mentioned earlier, and 3D circulation airflow on top of that. With this bad boy in your home, pollutants will literally have nowhere to escape to, and you’ll never have swamp butt again cuz the air purifier does such a good job in regulating moisture in any given room.

The RM1,699 model : F-PXV50AKM

The less-pricier model – F-PXV50AKM which retails for RM1,699 – isn’t entirely worlds apart from its brother. Instead of the Mega Catcher, this model comes with the House Dust Catcher which sucks up larger pollutants like dust and dust mites. It doesn’t have the Econavi tech installed, but it does have an intelligent dirt sensor equipped, and everything else is pretty much the same.

If an air purifier is more your thing, y’all know the drill: You can pick one up at your nearest authorised Panasonic dealer or on Club Panasonic.
