Auditions for the CIMB “Rising Start” regional singing competition are now open!
Always envisioned yourself someday joining a singing competition and gaining your claim to fame? Well, now you can make those dreams happen by joining CIMB’s Rising Start regional singing competition, which will be having its open auditions until the end of this month!
The CIMB Rising Start competition is open to all Malaysian citizens, aged between 18 and 40 years. Whereby two winners from Malaysia will be selected to each receive a cash prize of RM5,000, one-on-one personal coaching with Hael Husaini, and a two-year talent deal with talent management company Rocketfuel Entertainment Sdn Bhd that includes one music single and one music video recording.
And auditions are now open until the 30th June 2024! So here’s how you can start applying…
Auditions for CIMB Rising Start can be done ONLINE via Instagram and TikTok
In order to participate, all you’ll have to do is to simply record a video of yourself singing ANY song, and post it on Instagram or TikTok. You’ll also need to tag @CIMBMalaysia and use their hashtag #CIMBMYRisingStart so that they can find your audition. Also, make sure your profile is public!
From there, closed-door auditions will be held on 14 July 2024 to select two winners to represent Malaysia in the regional finals in Jakarta, where they will be given the chance to participate together with other talents from Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Judges for CIMB Rising Start include Hael Husaini, and Evelyn Wijaya (winner of CIMB Niaga Kejar Mimpi 2023), among others. The two Malaysian winners will be announced on 15 July 2024, while the announcement for the regional finals winners will be on 31 July 2024. The CIMB Kejar Mimpi 2024 concert will be held in Surakarta, Indonesia on 24 August 2024.
