As an online publisher, our sales team plays the most important role – getting brands to sponsor us so everyone can pay rent!

As our content consultant, you will be selling our content marketing solutions to clients – a.k.a. sponsored article and video content. You’ll have to find out what the clients’ needs and objectives are, convince them how our content expertise can meet those needs, and then communicate that to the Cilisos content team. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Networking: Proactively identify and connect with brands and agencies to build a robust portfolio; this includes “hunting” for new leads at industry events and mixers.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain a high-touch follow-up system to strengthen long-term partnerships and maximize account retention.
  • Strategic Proposal Crafting: Consult with clients to diagnose their marketing pain points and collaborate with the Head of Business Development to design bespoke, winning proposals.
  • Creative Ideation: Contribute to the “Big Idea”, ensuring our content solutions are both brand-safe and Cilisos-level viral.
  • End-to-End Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact during campaigns, managing feedback loops, expectations, and timelines to keep everyone (internal and external) aligned.
  • Quality Assurance: Serve as the first line of defense by vetting branded content drafts for quality and objective-alignment before they reach the client’s inbox.
  • Performance Reporting: Analyze campaign metrics to produce comprehensive Post-Campaign Reports (PCRs) that prove ROI and set the stage for the next upsell.
  • Financial & Admin Oversight: Drive the “clean-up” by following up on outstanding payments and ensuring all vendor registrations and sales documents are meticulously organized in Google Drive.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in media or advertising preferred
  • Malaysian citizenship (Sorry, HR requirement)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and BM.
  • Ability think on your feet and a fast learner
  • Independent and resourceful, not afraid to ask questions
  • Diplomatic – can mediate the clients’ need with those of the company
  • Comfortable with socializing and presenting to groups of people
  • Always hungry. For more sales, not just for food.
