About the Sos

At CILISOS, we believe that the only way to consume information is with a serious dose of flavor. Our aim is to make mundane things like news and current events entertaining and informative in equal measure, using our unique recipe of casualness and humor banjir-ed onto an analytical view to get our point across. We look for stories that we can all laugh at, and reflect on a bit after our jaws recover.

We also believe in a collaborative experience with our audience, so we hope you’ll join us to create a space we can all spit fire on, add flavor to, and enjoy.

 

What’s the Role?

You’ll be joining a lean team of video editors to conceptualize content that’s informative, entertaining, and relevant to a Malaysian audience. You can expect to have a hand in almost every stage of the creative process, with a huge amount of trust and support when needed.

Here’s an idea of what you’ll be doing:

• Work with the Producer to create engaging content on social media
• Conceptualize entertaining but informative videos for the TikTok generation
• Write scripts…
• Host videos…
• Edit videos…
• … or any combination of the three – we’re open to possibilities.

TL;DR: If you’re a scriptwriter/content creator with an interest in video, we have a camera and studio you can play in.

 

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in video content creation preferred, but not necessary
• Malaysian citizenship (sorry, HR requirement)
• Good command of English, other languages a plus
• Familiarity with social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Familiar with social media trends
• Interest in Malaysian and international current events
• Knowledge of Premiere Pro is a plus, otherwise an interest to learn is great too
• Great attentuon to detail
• A creative mind which thinks out of the box, but also with the ability to execute those ideas
• Team spirit! We’re a close-knit fam and we’d like to keep it that way 
• Is a genuine and decent human being. The kind that would smile or say thanks when someone holds the elevator door for them
