So why is everyone changing their profile pics to oldskool IC pictures?

Sometime last week, we started seeing these old IC photos pop up on our News Feed.

Apparently when you LIKE or COMMENT on one of the pictures, you get one of these messages that, obviously, tells you to do the same thing lor, and people seem to love posting old ridiculous one. Cue virality.

So of course, in this day and age, and smack in between Merdeka and Malaysia Day, the first thing on our minds was…

Haiya… another unity campaign from an Ad Agency?

Well, not really. But kinda.

So apparently, it started off at Malaysia’s currently most talked about agency, Naga DDB. Yes, the same guys that brought you that epic NSFW video last week. And it was started by its Executive Creative Director, Tim Koomsorn,

Except that he didn’t start it. His Thai homeys did.

To be honest, we have no idea how it started over there. If you do, please let us know by email or via the comments below cos we’re super curious. Here’s a bunch of our neighbours outmeme-ing us. We love those squiggly lines

Thanks to Tim for helping us get these!

Aw man… Malaysia copy again?

Who care UGAIZ!?!?!? It’s so nice for our Thai brothers and sisters to drop this sweet little viral bombshell on us in time for Malaysia Day. So why is it being shared? Simple.

1. It’s Malaysia Day and everyone feels like making some sorta Muhibbah statement and

2. What better way to do that than to laugh at our older selves? Yes, we love seeing old bad photos of people.

Like mine -_-
