Musang King Durian would have been the death of me

Durian season is here… FINALLY! Though you can get them all year round, I feel like the best fruits are obtained between June and August. The best durian I’ve had so far was the Musang King in Raub last year. My friend treated me to the trip, and on the way, he challenged me to finish the whole fruit on my own. I with all the bravado said “BRING IT ON”! Though it looked harmless from the outside, it has at least 20 fruits in it.

The Musang King that I had on that eventful day was the creamiest I’ve ever had in the three decades that I’ve lived. After a point it was super jelak that I was gagging. I could feel the heat rising in my stomach. Did I manage to finish it?  Check out the series of photos below.

Three water bottles later and after a lot of small bites, I managed to finish 11 fruits and my friend helped me to finish the rest. There, a person who never felt nausea after feasting on durians say defeated by the Musang King.

Is There Another Durian That Could Rival The Musang King?

Now, that the season is here again, I stumbled upon something that might interest you. How many of you know about the ‘Tupai King’ durian species? I happened to chance upon this durian on Facebook while looking for durian delivery near me.

The Tupai King was planted in Penang in 2021. It was officially named Tupai 226. This durian was believed that it would challenge the popularity of the Musang King.

The Tupai King durian is one of the rarest durians you could chance upon.

When you get durian filled like this, many customers reject it. They usually assume that the durian spoiled because the flesh has black hues. But we are not angry if customers reject this durian. We still like it😍

This is  rare durian. Only those who know will appreciate. If you can get this durian, Chinese customers, they will jump for joy.

Only those who know the taste and texture of the contents.
