Smashing Higher with Haier: Inspiring Future Dreams with Aaron Chia & Soh Wooi Yik!

Haier Malaysia doubleS-down on their commitment to inspire and motivate Malaysians to pursue their dreams by renewing their partnership with badminton doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.

Aaron and Wooi Yik etched their names in Malaysian sporting history by winning our first gold medal at the 2022 BWF World Championships and continuing their medal streak with bronze victories at the Commonwealth and Asian Games. In October 2023, the determined pair triumphed at the Denmark Open, ending a six-year wait for the BWF World Tour title.

With the renewal of the partnership, the duo will be the face of Haier’s Inspire Future Dreams campaign which not only strives to inspire Malaysians to pursue their dreams; but also to strive for success in all aspects of life.

At the signing, Haier also stated their goal to achieve a 45% sales growth target for 2024. In line with this, the company has unveiled a range of advanced household appliances, designed to make living better and more enjoyable with integrations in design, safety, and smart features.

After the signing, we were given a sneak peek into several products which will headline Haiers offerings in the first quarter of 2024. Here are our favorites:

Air Conditioner

The UV Cool Premium and UV Cool Smart series allow you to control your air conditioner from your phone though the Haismart application, or to have the unit intelligently changing the temperature and air speed through sensors located in the remote control. They also incorporate UVC sterilization technology that’s certified for 99% virus removal, and some units are able to self-clean.

Refrigerator

This was our favorite. Haier’s upcoming 4-door fridge has a Daylight feature that really brightens up the interior, which not only makes it easier to find items, but also making everything look better. They’ll also have humidity control in the crisper drawer to keep fruits and veggies fresh for longer, and a dry zone for dried foods such as ikan bilis. If connected to wifi, you can remotely control food management, modes, and even recipes from the Haismart app.

Washing machine

If you’ve ever second-guessed how much detergent you actually need to use, Haier’s Auto Dosing technology will automatically make that decision for you. This avoids waste and reduces detergent residue on your clothes. On top of that, you’ll be able to control and monitor your wash cycles right from the Haismart app.

On the courts, Malaysians will have much reason to look forward to further success by Aaron and Wooi Yik. Whereas off courts, you can look forward to Haier’s game-changing appliances that are sure to empower your life.
