Yoodo support independent Asian artists by promoting City ROARS! Festival

It’s no surprise that all of us here listen to different kinds of music – rock, indie, K-Pop, country, and more. Yet, most of the time, we usually have a favorite artist that we resonate with and listen on repeat. Personally, this writer listens to Taylor Swift (so basic, right?) because this writer thinks she’s a good performer.

This writer listens to Taylor Swift differently from you normies.

Some of us would even splurge on concert tickets so we can watch our favorite singers perform right in front of our eyes and it’s also more exciting to be in a crowd full of other fans vibin’ to songs together. At the same time, you get to make new friends due to similar interests.

Well, Yoodo, a telecommunication service provider, sponsored the City ROARS! festival that had performances by local acts and independent artists from all over Asia on the 29th and 30th April at two different locations (Klpac and ZEPP KL).

You might’ve seen Yoodo billboards being advertised along the highways as you passed by it and you must be wondering what it actually does. Yoodo is the first mobile service to allow full customisation for data, voice and plan that enable good savings for you. It gives you more freedom as it lets you control your own plan the way you want it.

Recently, Yoodo funded the City ROARS! festival, a two-day music festival which gathered independent artists from different parts of Asia and local talents to showcase their distinctive music for the crowd.

Yoodo’s purpose on promoting this event is to highlight the diversity of the Kuala Lumpur music scene while supporting local independent talent so people would be more aware that music is a broad spectrum and it’s not limited to general music you’ve heard on radios.

“At Yoodo, we have always been actively supporting our local independent artists, and we believe that the City ROARS! festival is a great opportunity to showcase our commitment to promoting local talent.” – Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo.

Also, with Yoodo’s personal customisation mobile plan, you can also add on other contents provided such as, Spotify (20GB) and JOOX (20GB) at a price point of RM1 a month so you can listen to your music smoothly without any interruptions. 🎵
