Speaking at the commencement ceremony, the SC Chairman, Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin, enthused that this game-changing endeavour marks a historic collaboration between the SC, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the capital market industry, and universities. With an aim to build a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals for the capital market, the program is expected to provide participating graduates with more than 200 job placements annually, including 150 permanent employment. It is hopeful to improve the knowledge and employability of 9,000 university graduates, especially for the capital market industry, over a span of 3 years.

The heart of the investED programme lies in its meticulously crafted curriculum. Developed in close partnership with the esteemed Asia School of Business (ASB), the programme offers a comprehensive and interactive one-month learning module. This module, hosted at ASB’s state-of-the-art campus in Kuala Lumpur, is designed to provide graduates with an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the capital market. The response from the inaugural cohort has been overwhelming, with over 2,000 applications flooding in for a coveted spot in this transformative programme.

capital market. I am confident that our expert faculty will be able to impart cutting-edge knowledge about capital market products, services as well as emerging trends to the programme participants.”

The journey doesn’t end with the immersive classroom experience. Upon completing the intensive one-month module, graduates embark on a six-month on-the-job training with prominent industry partners affiliated with investED. These partners, encompassing investment banks, stockbroking firms, fund management companies, and various other key players in the capital market, offer graduates a real-world platform to apply their newfound knowledge and skills.

With investED’s ambitious vision to bolster the capital market workforce, the programme is poised to make a resounding impact. By bridging the gap between academia and industry needs, investED aims to transform graduates into dynamic professionals, poised to navigate the complexities of the capital market with finesse and confidence.
