Chvrches is coming to KL! But you can’t even buy a ticket :(

Yep you heard right.

Note: don’t worry Chvrches fans… there’s a surprise at the end of this article k? 🙂

World-femes indie electro-pop outfit, Chvrches (wah damn hard to spell), is coming to KL on Friday, 2nd September, to play at TREC’s Rhapsody Square for Tiger Beer’s Tiger JAMS event! And that’s not even all, because they’re gonna be remixing a track by one of Malaysia’s own musicians – sultry Kinabalu girl, Rozella!

OMG Malaysia Boleh!

The campaign, Tiger Jams, was set out to uncage undiscovered local talents through collaboration, and Rozella was the winner of a nationwide search for Malaysian musicians. In linking local artists like Rozella with popular international acts like Chvrches, Tiger Jams aims to put various artists from around the world together – providing an avenue for them to collaborate and make EVEN better music/art.

And that’s not the only collabo either. Malaysia actually worked with… Singapore?

So Tiger Jams also got other artists together to come up with their own music videos. Malaysian band Son Of A Policeman got to jam with Singapore’s The Sam Willows and painter Donald Abraham to create a really catchy and cool music video entitled “Euphoria” (click to watch).

They also got visual artist Flex to collabo with Rozella and Darren Ashley to create another music video called Home To You, and local raprock guys Donamarie to work with Hong Kong’s punkpop band, Tonick, and psychedelic artist Kenji Chai on a super-trippy neon video entitled “Adonia” (click to watch).

And guess what… ALL THESE GUYS ARE performing on the same night at Tiger Jams on Friday! OMG!

But sadly…

You can’t even buy a ticket for this concert 🙁

Yep. The poster has no indication of how to buy tickets. Checking on TREC’s own page, the event isn’t even listed. But why ar?

It’s because the only way you can come is if you’re invited!

So how do you get invited? It’s really simple. Just tell us about a local track (could be a radio track, or even a classic Malaysian song, or even our National Anthem) that you think should be covered by an international band.

Fill up the form and send it in by Tuesday Aug 30th 2016, and 25 lucky winners will score 4 tickets for an epic Tiger Jam on 2nd September!
